About the workshop
This is an opportunity to take part in a unique activity in which participants learn about tile design with an innovating technique which perfectly imitates ceramic tile style used by Spanish Islamic craftsman without the use of a kiln. Ornamental and decorative models are governed by constructive principles based on geometry.
Process
1) Tracing the geometric design of the Alhambra onto plaster/stucco.
2) Creating a carved ‘bas-relief’ piece.
3) Painting and incorporating colour combinations.
4) Finishing with the cleaning process for the perfect piece.
Who´s for?
Become an apprentice craftsman of the Alhambra! No prior artistic knowledge is required, as our craftsman will guide you through the whole process.
How does it work?
Once you have confirmed the reservation by a 30% deposit you will reveive:
– by courrier : Craft Pack with all the necessary materials + 4 decorative andalusian Tiles gift made by our artisans,
– in your email: Parcel Tracking + link and details on how to join.
The remaining 70% will be paid AFTER THE ACTIVITY is carried out.
Note: few days before the activity we will test the connection and the equipment (computers, webcam, audio,…).
On the day of the workshop
Our craftman, will be on hand throughout to guide you all participants through the processes step by step, show you examples to inspire your makes and everyone can have a chat with him.
