About the workshop
Our workshops reproduce faithfully the tiled panel technique (zellige) technique used by the craftsmen of the Alhambra to decorate walls and floors with cut tiles which are combined together to form geometric designs using regular or star-shaped polygons.
Process
1) On a wooden base the participants place the ceramic pieces as a puzzle.
2) The tesserae are glued to fix them on the board.
3) The cement is poured on the whole panel and we wait for it to be dry.
Who´s for?
Become an apprentice craftsman of the Alhambra! No prior artistic knowledge is required, as our craftsman will guide you through the whole process.
How does it work?
Once you have confirmed the reservation by a 30% deposit you will reveive:
– by courrier : Craft Pack with all the necessary materials + 4 decorative andalusian Tiles gift made by our artisans,
– in your email: Parcel Tracking + link and details on how to join.
The remaining 70% will be paid AFTER THE ACTIVITY is carried out.
Note: few days before the activity we will test the connection and the equipment (computers, webcam, audio,…).
On the day of the workshop
Our craftman, will be on hand throughout to guide you all participants through the processes step by step, show you examples to inspire your makes and everyone can have a chat with him.
