About the workshop
We offer a brief introduction to Arabic calligraphy using ancient traditional techniques that were of the utmost important to the Spanish-Muslim culture. Epigraphic patterns are seen all around the Alhambra. Nowadays, Arabic is the fifth most widely spoken language worldwide.
Process
Introduction to the Arabic alphabet. Participants will learn how to;
1) Pronounce and write basic Arabic lettering,
2) Use writing tools, Qalam (reed pen) and Indian Ink.
3) Translate and write the name of the participant on parchment.
Who´s for?
Become an apprentice calligrapher! No prior artistic knowledge is required, as our teacher will guide you through the whole process.
How does it work?
Once you have confirmed the reservation by a 30% deposit you will reveive:

The remaining 70% due will be paid 3 days AFTER THE ACTIVITY is carried out.
Note: few days before the activity we will test the connection and the equipment (computers, webcam, audio,…).
On the day of the workshop
Our calligrapher, will be on hand throughout to guide you all participants through the processes step by step, show you examples to inspire your makes and everyone can have a chat with him.
