Creating your own Alhambra´s mosaics

· Create your first masterpiece of mosaic tiling

 
Learn basics of tiled panels (zellige) in 2 hours. This tiling technique consists of cutting pieces of monochrome glazed ceramic using pliers or nippers to obtain fragments of different sizes and geometric shapes –called aliceres in Spanish– which are then put into place like a jigsaw one next to another, following a previously established pattern.
 
This technique developed by the artisans of al Andalus can be found in the most emblematic monuments of Andalusia: the Alhambra and the Generalife in Granada, the Royal Alcazars of Seville, the Mosque of Cordoba, etc…
 
The “Alhambra Experience” will be an unforgettable, special and unique souvenir of the Granada of the Alhambra.
 
This workshop will take you to experience the spirit of the Hispano-Muslim craftsmen in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere under the tutelage of one of our craftsmen.

When?: Monday to Saturday: 10.00 am, 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm

Fees:
· Adults: 59 €
· Kids (6-14 años): 39 €
Private groups: 15 maximum/shift. Ask for our special rates.
Included: 1 artisan, multimedia installations, all necessary materials, piece made by the participants and VAT.
